The angel appears in the series as a man which is true
The angel originally was a man inhabiting the previous planets, then the previous planets
were broken up in the previous Doomsday, and then Judgment took place and the men of Paradise were transformed into angels after God gave to them the ethereal skins, and so they became the angels

It is imaginary; but it is a good way to explain what is wrong and what is true
Moreover, it is a successful series, which indicates people are interested and have impression about such spiritual ideas

E.g. Christians have conviction that the evil spirit may settle in the body of another man ... so this latter will be possessed

Many Muslims may have a similar conviction; while in the Quran, Satan may have control on man, but may not be in such way of settling inside his body

Quran 58: 19, which means
{The devil has had [complete] control over them g, so he has made them forget to remember God h; such are the devil's party i, and it is the devil's party who are the losers [in the Next Life

My comment: So Satan has a complete control of disbelievers, but it is not: the devil goes inside their bodies

In the Supernatural series

The angel Bobby and the other angel, .. in this series .. they are perplexed and do not know what to do and what is there, and they consult Dean and Samy; while in fact, the angel works only according to God's command and he does not do anything of his own accord .. the angel in fact knows his duty and carries it out as he is commanded by God

Quran 21: 27, which means
They [: the angels] speak not [concerning the intercession] until He [permits them d], and they act according to His command. e

This is similar to another aya in the Quran 78: 38, which means
On the day when the Spirit [Gabriel] and the angels will stand forth in ranks; none shall speak [intercession] except [for the behalf of] any [monotheist] who is permitted by [God] Most Gracious, and the [intercessor] will speak what is right

Quran 66: 6, which means
On [the Fire] are [appointed in charge, for the punishment of disbelievers], angels
hard [- hearted: showing no mercy to disbelievers]
and stern [in seizing and chastising]

Dean and Samy use pistols and shoot the 'devil' or the evil soul in his head, and so the devil will succumb

Americans are fond of pistols; they think that pistols will work with spirits, devils and angels

Bullets will not kill the spirit, soul, devil, or angel ... they are already dead ... they are spirits and spiritual beings living forever in the spiritual world in their spiritual form .. they will be immortal ... the dead is only the body which will decay while the spirit or soul is immortal

Therefore, the bullet will not kill the devil or the spirit .. the bullet will certainly hurt the spirit, but will not cause his death ... he is already dead

Christians read the present Gospel to find in it that Jesus drove some evil spirits out of some possessed bodies
and in another text the devils left the possessed men and went into a herd of pigs

,Jews believe in the reincarnation and think that man goes after death into another body
while this is not told by the Torah itself, but it is merely some traditions

Some ignorant Muslims also believe about the possession by evil spirit or genie, and they even beat the possessed one with sticks so as to drive out the evil spirit.

In this series, the angels are presented as weak beings before the devils .. but this is not correct

The angels are stronger than devils and they are confirmed by God Almighty .. the devils cannot resist the angels who have ethereal skins and are capable of doing things that the soul cannot do

the soul cannot appear visible before our eyes, while the angels can do that; the soul cannot bear any material object, while the angel -having his ethereal skin - can bear some material objects

Hell is claimed under the control and authority of Satan: he can admit to Hell whomever he wants and expels out of it anyone he likes
While the matter is not like this: the admission into either of Hell or Paradise (heaven) is up to God alone, and none can decide this other than He alone
This life of the World and the
Next Life is by the hand of God

{To God are [both] the Next Life, and the First [life in the World.] ^b}

But .. in the afterlife, God will leave some criminals out of His enemies and the enemies of His messengers .. who opposed His messengers and resisted them and denied His revelations .. the idolaters and associaters who saw His messenger with their own eyes and yet they denied him .. and those who insist on their opposition of God and His messengers .. such disbelievers, God will leave them to Satan's disposal to torture them and to let them suffer many things ... maybe casting them in Hell .. which is the fire of valcanoes inside the earth during the afterlife following death

Quran 25: 22, which meansOn the day [of their death] when they will see the angels [of death seizing their souls d] – no glad news on that day be for the guilty e, and [the angels] shall say [to them]: "An arrest [and detainment for you by devils] enclosed [on you till Doomsday] f

e This is a parable about their affliction with the chastisement; it means: The chastisement is for the guilty, and the good news, of admission into Paradise, is for the righteous

f It means: Devils will capture and imprison you till Doomsday

While other chief criminals and adversaries, God will command His angels of punishment to torture and punish them with chains and to cast them in the fire of volcanoes inside the earth core till Doomsday when they will go to Saqar: the Hell of Doomsday

Quran 69: 31-33, which mean

[Then God will say to the angels]
"Take him and shackle him e"
Then broil him [by casting him headlong] in Hell. f
"And thrust him in a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits [: winding that chain around him

e i.e. chain him with shackles

f This is the chastisement of the Barzakh [or the Afterlife] before the chastisement of Doomsday

the ‘hell’ is the volcano; because every big fire is called a hell. The indication of this is His saying – be glorified – about the story of Abraham, in the Quran 37: 97, which means
(They said [one to another]: "Build for [burning] him a building, and throw him into the blazing fire

Therefore, any aya in the Quran similar to this one: that “the angels take them to the fire” or “drive them” or what is alike – this will be special for the Barzakh [or the Afterlife

While on Doomsday, the gravity of the sun will draw them towards it, and the angels have nothing to do with admitting them into Hell
For this reason, God – be glorified – said in the Quran 52: 13, which means
(On the day [of Doom] when they will be thrust along, with an [incessant] thrust, into the fire of Hell)
It means: they will assault Hell fire in groups and masses; and that is because of such gravity, and not by their own will

Moreover, God – be glorified – said in the Quran 19: 71-72, which means
(Every one of you, [people], without exception, will go towards [Hell]; that is an inevitable ordinance of your Lord. Then We shall save [from the gravity of Hell] those who warded off [God's disobedience], and shall leave the wrong-doers crowding therein

This will take place on Doomsday, because the sun will draw them altogether the believers and the disbelievers

Then God will save those who avoid the association so that they do not associate anything with God in the worship, but they are sinners, therefore, the angels will save them from the fire after they fulfill their punishment in it.

While those who die before Doomsday, they will be involved in this aya, because they fulfill their punishment on earth, then the angels will take them to the Paradise or Garden of Refuge, if they are believers and monotheists [who consecrate their worship exclusively to God alone

The punishment on earth is of many kinds: some of them are imprisoned in his home, some of them are imprisoned in the desert under the sun rays and heat, some of them are imprisoned in his grave together with his dead body, and some of them are tormented in the fire: in volcanoes; and this is according to their sins

Criticizing the Supernatural TV show
Spirits, souls, devils and angels are spiritual beings: they are dead already.
It means they were living in the material world like ourselves then they died and became spiritual beings.
When we die, our spirits (or souls) separate from out material bodies ... the material body will decay and become dust later on, while the soul (or spirit) will be immortal.

So the human soul will be immortal; the soul will never die again: because the death is only the separation of the soul from the body.
So the soul will not be killed: the soul may suffer or feel pleasure but will never die: the soul is immortal.

There is the man-kind whose bodies created from the earth elements (like Na, K, Ca, Mg, Fe ..etc) while his spirit (or soul) is formed from the ether (which is not the matter).
The soul is a true copy of the body in which it is formed: the material body is the mold for forming the soul: the soul will be identical in shape to the body in which it is formed.
The soul is the true man: the soul is the one that thinks, feels, sees and hears, while the body cannot do that, and it will be like the cast board does not see, does not hear and does not understand, and it will decay.

There is another kind of creatures: the genie-kind:
The genie is similar to man in most of their features: and they differ from man in some points.
The living genie has his body created from gases (while man's body is created from earth elements); so the genie's body is created from gases .. and therefore he is invisible to us.
The genie consists of a gaseous body and of a spirit or soul formed from the ether like our souls; so the soul of both of man and genie is formed from the ether.
The genie lives in the life of the World (like the living man) then will die .. i.e. his soul will separate from his material gaseous body, so the gaseous body will disintegrate while the soul of the genie will be immortal in the world of souls, like the human soul.

Another kind of this category of spiritual beings: the angels.
The angels are spiritual; they were men living in the material world (on the previous planets of the previous solar systems), then they died, and because they were righteous and worked righteous work, so God admitted them into Paradise, then He clothed them the ethereal skins and they became the angels .. the obedient servants of God.
The angels are capable of doing acts that the human souls cannot do; they can show us themselves and can do many other acts according to God's command.

Another kind of spiritual beings: the devils.
The devils are the dead genies: the evil, the charlatan and the disobedient to God.

Satan or Azazel or Lucifer as some call him is their father as was Adam our father.
Satan has authority on the evil and disobedient genie souls; so the dead evil genies are the devils: the servants and assistants of Satan.

The angels are created by God (as are all creatures), but they are spiritual ethereal souls of the righteous man or genie
The angels are the inhabitants of the Paradise (or heaven); there is a large number of angels, although they have many ranks and not all of them in the same rank: so Gabriel, Michael, Israfil are some of the chiefs of angels.
Angels have duties in God's service: like recording the work of man, taking his soul when his death hour is due ..etc.

The angels having their ethereal skins are more powerful than devils; the Devil or Satan has been given respite that he is not punished till Doomsday, and he is allowed to be the master of devils and the souls of the idolaters and disbelievers whom he will subject to his service.
So Satan cannot overcome God: he is only given respite till Doomsday that he will not be punished in Hell until then, and he was driven out of Paradise and will pelted by meteors should he approach the paradise or heaven.
