Moon has no atmosphere; so the rocks of meteorites and the small pebbles will not inflame to make fireballs or meteor streaks: Lunid or others.Therefore, the fireballs seen near Moon (as it is told in this video), they are the inflaming comets: which are fireballs from the start.Such meteorites come in fact from the sun as big sparks following some solar explosions; but they are not any dirty ice coming from the Oort cloud. In this nice video from NASA, we such impacts, and I think they are due to flaming comets.
