    Utah monolith

Recently, a metallic object has been discovered in the Utah desert in the USA

When the Americans sent their probes to Mars, they chose a remote desolated area near Sharp mount on Mars... why? Why didn't they go to regions more prone to have life and intelligent beings? Why didn't they go to the high mountains of Mars northern hemisphere: such mountains have ice on their tops... so water springs may almost be existent on the slopes and in valleys? Or why didn't they go to regions where some pictures showed tops of trees in the very cold regions (like Alaska and Siberia on Earth
They went to the desolated regions: because they wanted to make colonies there on Mars, and if they go to regions probably inhabited, then their probes and their projects will be destroyed by people there

So it may be, and I say maybe, and not insisting... it may be from another planet like Saturn or Jupiter or even Mars where good atmosphere and ample water and oxygen available
This monolith is pyramidal with a triangular base; it may be erected vertically for some purpose we don't know... God is the All-Knowing

Another probability is someone wanted to make a movie and came to that region and erected this metallic pyramid 10-12 feet high, perpendicular!!?? I see this a weak probability

    Utah monolith
    The monolith

    Artist Unknown
    Year 2015/2016
    Type Metal sculpture
    Medium Stainless steel (assumed)
    Dimensions 291 cm × 58 cm × 58 cm (114.5 in × 23.0 in × 23.0 in)[1][2][3]
Location 16 miles (26 km) southwest of Moab, Utah in the Lockhart Basin in San Juan County
A metallic pillar dubbed the "Utah monolith" was discovered in the red canyons of southeast Utah by state biologists in November 2020.[4] Described as a monolith,[5][6] the 9.5-foot (2.9 m) tall structure,[2][3] appears to be made of stainless steel sheets riveted together into the shape of a triangular prism, with a hollow interior.[7][8] It was placed in the canyon between August 2015 and October 2016 but its attribution is unknown.[4] Public officials withheld its location to prevent people from becoming lost trying to find it, but within hours the public found it on Google Earth, and within 48 hours had visited the site.[4]

    Discovery[edit]
On November 18, 2020, state biologists of the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources were carrying out a survey of bighorn sheep from a helicopter when one of the biologists spotted the structure and told the pilot, Bret Hutchings, to fly over the location again.[6] Hutchings described the moment of discovery:[9]
One of the biologists is the one who spotted it and we just happened to fly directly over the top of it. He was like, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, turn around, turn around!" And I was like, "What?" And he's like, "There's this thing back there – we've got to go look at it!"
Hutchings noted that the object appeared manmade, and was "planted" in the ground instead of being dropped from the sky.[9]
On November 23, the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS) released videos and photographs of the discovery, but not the exact location, on their website saying: "DPS Aero Bureau Encounters Monolith in Red Rock Country".[10]

    Location and dating[edit]
The exact location of the monolith was not disclosed by the DPS to prevent people becoming lost while trying to find it.[9] It was subsequently shown to be in a slot canyon, surrounded by red sandstone rocks, that is on public land (grid ref 38°20’35.0”N 109°39’58.0”W), in the Lockhart Basin area of San Juan County; being land which President Donald Trump removed from Bears Ears National Monument (a protected area of Utah), in 2017.[8]
Within hours of the DPS announcement, Reddit user Tim Slane had identified the object on Google Earth.[11] Slane compared the flight path of the state biologists' helicopter against the red-and-white sandstone terrain from their videos.[11] Slane told The Verge that "he was aided by clues like the cliffs' height, the canyon's erosion pattern (indicating a more exposed area), and a flat floor suggesting it wasn't frequently flooded (and, by extension, was near the top of a watershed)".[11] The monolith is not present in the Google Earth satellite images of the area from August 2015, but does appear in Google Earth satellite images from October 2016 onwards, thus dating its installation to a time between those two dates.[11][12]
Within 48 hours of the DPS announcement, Dave Surber, a former US Army infantry officer, had reached the site, and uploaded photographs, and videos of the monolith to social media.[4] Local business owners feared a surge in traffic could damage local Native American sites and artifacts.[13] Within a few days, the top two rivets on one side had been removed in an attempt to look inside.[14]

    Description[edit]
The metal structure is 9.5 feet (2.9 m) tall above the bedrock, and one of the sides is 23 inches (58 cm) wide.[2][3] It has three sides and appears to be made of stainless steel sheets, joined with rivets, with a hollow interior.[7] Dave Sparks of the TV show Diesel Brothers went to the monolith and described it in a video he posted on Instagram. "They got a concrete saw and they cut it into the red rock there," he said. "You can see right here on the bottom where they had a couple of over cuts with the saws."[15] BBC News reported that videos suggest a professional job, and that "whoever put it there used heavy-duty tools to cut into the bedrock and embed the structure", and quoted Wendy Wischer of the University of Utah's School of Fine Art who said "One person alone could not have done it so there is a group of people who have some knowledge of it somewhere. Most artists want some recognition for what they are doing but this seems to include a level of humor and mystery as part of the intention".[4]

    "Monolith"[edit]

Although the word monolith refers to a single great stone, the word has become closely associated with the Monolith from the film 2001: A Space Odyssey, which the Utah monolith resembles[16][17], though it shows "human-made rivets"[7] belying its terrestrial origin (although the Department of Public Safety did not describe how they determined the rivets were made by humans). The Utah Film Commission said that to their knowledge the monolith is not from any film production.[7]
    Attribution[edit]

The object was compared to works by artist John McCracken, who died in 2011, and who lived in the southwest desert, believed in the existence of extraterrestrials, and expressed an interest in leaving behind a piece of artwork in the desert.[16] The object resembled the metallic monoliths McCracken made, and was described as "nearly identical" to McCracken's Fair (2011) by New York gallery owner David Zwirner (who displays the work),[16] Zwirner subsequently retracted this statement, saying that it was more likely another artist instead paying homage to McCracken.[4]
It was also speculated that the monolith was the work of Petecia Le Fawnhawk, who has installed sculptures in desert locations and lived in Utah, however, she confirmed it was not hers.[18][4]

    Legality and official statements[edit]

The DPS released a statement quoting Bureau of Land Management regulations that it is illegal to install structures (including art), on public lands without permission, "no matter what planet you're from".[6][10] The Utah Department of Heritage and Arts revealed in an official statement by Twitter, that they see the installation as vandalism and are concerned about damage of the ancient artwork and archeological artifacts in the region: "While curiosity is understandable, we discourage visiting the monolith. Along with safety concerns, increased crowds threaten the archaeological resources in the area. Unintentional damage is still damage. [...] Finally, while the monolith has better craftsmanship than graffiti, this is still vandalism. It irreversibly altered the natural environment on public lands. While the monolith is interesting, we cannot condone vandalism of any type." [19]

The Utah Monolith has disappeared only a couple of days ago; what is left is only a piece of metal in addition to some rocks. The local authorities denied any work of their own to remove it

Here is a picture from the Wikipedia about the disappearance of this Utah Monolith and what remained was only a small metallic piece in addition to a few small rocks

Here is also a report form the BBC about the mysterious disappearance of this Utah Monolith

Utah monolith: Has the mysterious metal object disappeared

The crew found the unusual object while conducting a count of big horn sheep in the area
A mysterious metal monolith discovered last week in the desert in the US state of Utah has disappeared, officials say
Utah's Bureau of Land Management said it had seen credible reports the object had been removed by an unknown party"
Social media images apparently from the site show a pile of rocks and a small piece of metal left behind
The discovery of the 12ft (3.7m) high object sparked a national guessing game as to how it got there, and saw dozens of people pay a visit in recent days
The strange metal object was first spotted on 18 November by a helicopter crew counting big horn sheep from the air, in a remote south-eastern area of Utah
News of its discovery and speculation over its origins quickly went viral on social media, with many observers presuming it was an art installation left by a sculptor
As yet no-one has claimed responsibility for installing the structure
Ryan Bacher, a Utah helicopter pilot who visited the site on Friday afternoon, told local TV station KSL that when his friend returned the next day it had gone
"Twenty-four hours later, my close friend, who is also a helicopter pilot, flew his family down to see as well and found it taken down," he said, adding he would like to know who did it
The state's Bureau of Land Management (BLM) said in a statement it had not removed "the structure which is considered private property
"We do not investigate crimes involving private property which are handled by the local sheriff's office," it added
Several people posted images on social media said to be from the site, posing with what remained of the monolith
